Abstract

Eucalyptus tereticomis, introduced from Australia, has established its worth as a tree plantation species both in forestry and agroforestry situations in India. Timber volume and weight tables for standard timber and small timber, firewood and lops-tops have been prepared for E. tereticomis, an important tree species in Punjab. It is grown as commercially important industrial timber by the State Forest Department as well as by the farmers in their fields. These tables will be useful to the farmers, timber growers, wood contractors, state forest departments, research workers and the planners in their respective areas of concern for future plantation programmes.
