Growth and production study of five genotypes (AP-12, AP-28, AP-35, AP-52 and AP-S2) of Anogeissus pendula with two pruning treatments (25 and 50 % height from ground level) in degraded land was conducted at National Research Centre for Agroforestry, Jhansi at age 5.3 years. Results showed that tree height growth of AP-28 and AP-35 were significantly higher than other genotypes. While collar diameter and canopy diameter were maximum in AP-S2 and AP-28, respectively. Pruning up to 25 and 50 % height did not show significant differences in tree height and collar diameter. However, differences were significant in case of canopy diameter except December 1997 and 1998. Three years average data showed that AP-28, AP-S2 and AP-35 gave 44.64, 39.29 and 38.69% higher yield (pruned biomass), respectively over AP-12 (local). Thus, the three genotypes were suitable for higher production in degraded lands.
