Abstract

In the present study, two alley widths and three intra-row spacings of Leucaena leucocephala were tested to find out the suitabie spacings for getting optimum growth and yield of interspeed crops. Results showed that magnitude of plant height, function leaves and productive tillers were recorded higher under narrow alley width, whereas, final plant density and crop yield reduced under this spacing. Among three intra-row spacinqs crop grown in between 0.5 m spacing (narrow spacing) of leucaena had better plant growth and crop yield. Redaction in crop yield can be compentiaed by the biomass produced by leucaena.
