Abstract

Achieving food security and responding to the challenges of climate change are two goals that must be achieved together. That’s why agriculture and forestry in developing countries must under go a significant transformation for the future of world. This transformation must be accomplished without depletion of the natural resource base. Therefore, tree farming, conservation agriculture, minimum tillage, natural resource management and silvopastoralism are gathered under single umbrella of climate-smart agriculture, where agroforestry stands as a solution for all the problems. Hence the aim of this paper is to have glance of relationships between climate-smart agriculture and agroforestry, different aspects of agroforestry technology and area covered by agroforestry. Climate-smart agriculture with agroforestry will act as a potent instrument to increase the resilience of farmers in the era of climate change.
