Abstract
Most of the members of Tachysuridaeusually inhabit the shallow waters, where the
bottom is muddy. Muddy bottom is not the
successful spawning ground for these fishes
because thfc eggs, being large and heavy, are
likely to sink to the muddy bottom and face
many natural hazards
