Abstract
Cynoglossus macrolepidotus (Bleeker),large-scaled tongue sole, is the most commonspecies of the family Cynoglossidae in theArabian Gulf (Kuronuma and Abe, 1972;Fishcer and Bianchi,1984). It is mostly caughtby shrimp trawlers operating in the northernpart of the Arabian Gulf.
