Abstract
A substantial part of fish production inIndia is contributed by the estuaries, backwaters,coastal creeks and large brackishwatertracts bordering the coast of India (Nair et al1983 ) . Therefore, proper understanding ofthe fish fauna of these environments, mainlythe season of their abundance , habits andhabitats is of great importace for the effectiveutilization of the resources and to plan developmentalprogrammes.Downloads
