Abstract

Spawning of Ariiis thalassinus takes place in Kohr al-Zubair, restricted
to a short period from late March to early May. Fecundity of the fish between 23.8 cm
and 37.7 cm length ranged from 28 to 77. The length-fecundity and weight-fecundity
are expressed as: F = 0.196 L ' J ' * and F = 1.602 W O'*'respectively
