Abstract

The cymothoid isopod parasite Cymothoa indica is recorded for the first
time from the gar-fish, Strongylura strongylura, and for the second time from
Indian waters. Two hundred fifteen (89.6%) of 240 gar-fishes were found to be
infected by gravid females
