Abstract
The rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss Walbaum) forms an important coldwater fishery resource in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. A study on the length-weight relationship, morphometrics and condition factor of farmed female rainbow trout from Dachigam Trout Culture Farm, Kashmir indicated positive allometric growth and high level of interdependence (0.8262 - 0.9979) between the fourteen morphometric characters studied. The length-weight relationship was calculated as W = 0.036013887L2.683412. The co-efficient of correlation (r) for the length-weight relationship was estimated at 0.9751, indicating a high degree of correlation between the two parameters. The condition factor varied from 0.95 to 1.44.Downloads
