Growth performance of spiny lobster Panulirus homarus (Linnaeus) administered with formulated pellet feeds

Abstract
Experiments were conducted to test the effect of three formulated pellet feeds with varying protein levels on growth performance of juvenile spiny lobsters (Panulirus homarus). The lobsters fed with high protein diet (T1- 54.9% protein) performed extremely well, followed by those fed with medium protein (T2 - 45.92% protein) and low protein (T3 - 34.88% protein) diets. The results clearly indicated that formulated pellet feed with relatively higher levels of protein (55%) could enhance the yield of lobsters both in terms of growth and total production.Downloads
