THE EARLY DEVELOPMENT OF SCYLLA SERRATA (FORSK.) DE HAAN AND NEPTUNUS SANGUINOLENTUS (HERBST,)
109 / 53
Abstract
Although Arriola (1940) described the spawning of Scylla serrata from thePhilippines.and figured the eggs and the early first zoea stage, he has not
reported on the behaviour of the berried crab prior to the hatching of the
eggs, nor described the freshly hatched larva in good detail. The observations
reported here supplement Arriola's account.
