Abstract

Gross primary production as indicated by Clorophyll-a values was practically
nil in the reservoir; so also was phosphate. Standing crop of phytoplankton
was poor because of low concentrations of silicate and nitrate, though temperature,
free carbon dioxide and transparency were favourable
