Abstract
Two species of freshwater prawns, Macrobraehium naso (Kemp) and M.dayanum (Henderson) are reported for the first time fawn the Gorakhpur region,
•Utter Pradesh, India. The motiphologfcal differences observed in the shape of
rostrum, roumiber of rostral teeitfh and in the second peraeopod are briefly discussed.
