Abstract

requirements necessary for produo~ion of viabLe populations ,and sustainable
yields is urgently needed in order ·to maintain and manage this vital resource.
Also, since the Kuwait Istitute foc Scienrtific Research is under,taking an ambitious
progr.amme to detCll'1Iline the fe1asibility, methodology and economics of
aquacultu:re, it ils necessary to know the biology of the important commercial
species, especially those aspects 'r,elated to production and feeding in order to
develop culture methods ~or large-scll'le larvae and fingerling production.
