Abstract

An incidence of wa:shing .ashore of large numbers of jelly-fish, Netrostoma
coerulescens Matas (Famii: Oephidae) lalong wit!h fishes and crabs was observed
at . Kovalam, southwest roast of India on 6t!h September 1972. This was found
in ·a wide area, extending from p.oonthur.a in the north to Mulloor in the south,
a:bout 19 km in a·ength along t1hesea shore.
