Abstract

Amino acid constituents of cornea, bovine eye lens, l'ens cortex, lens
nudeus, human vj.t~eous humour and aqueous humour have been repQ~ted by
various worke:rs (Block R. J. 1956). But no work has been doOne on the effect
of growing stag-es on the consHtuent amino acids of eye lens of fish Labeo rohita.
Changes in lens protein of ra·ts during ageing haV'e been repoJ1ted by Disohe,
Z. (1956) and hios collaborators. The present paper is intended at studying
quantitatively the amino acid composition of eye Iens of fish Labeo rohita at
three diflierent stages of growth.
