The study was undertaken to inve'stigate the normal pH value of theblood in field and laboratory conditions .and variti'On of the bJood pH during
hyperactiv1ty 'Of a few freSihw,ater teleDst:s, viz. Channa punctatus, Clarius baJIrachus,
Heteropneutes tossilis, Mystus vittatus, CoUsa tasciatus and Barbus ticto.

Black etal (1962), CaiUouet (1967, 68), Haws and Go'Odnight (1962). Brut
