The riv,er Gosthani flowing .in a south-erasterly direction joins the sre.a at
Bhimunipatnam. The clam bed is situated 3.3 km nor.th of .the riveQ" mouth
(map) in ,the .shaMow :~ealS 'Of ,the resrtJuary. The 'area of the dam bed ~s rainy
e~tenrsive occupying 3.17 he-dares, the depth r,ange was from t mto 2 m.
