Abstract

The food and feeding habits of the ribbon-fish, Trichiurus lepturus obtained
from the trawler catches off Tuticorin (Gulf of Mannar) during the years 1967,
1968 and 1970 have been presented. The intensity of feeding during the different
months of the year and the percentage occurrence of various items of food in
different size groupi of T. lepturus have been described
