Abstract

An instance of intestinal abnormality in the ribbon fish, Trichiurus
lepturus Linnaeus is described. The intestine was unusually short, opening at
a much anteriorly shifted anal aperture which, in the normal condition, remains
close to the urinogenital aperture.
