Abstract

Growth checks in Otolithoides brunneus are seen as concentric rings on the
inner surface ofthe cavity of amphicoelous vertebrae. There seems to be an agreement
between the number of rings on the vertebrae and those on the scales. Based
on the length frequency data, it appears that the rings may be of annual formation
