Abstract
Pennella instructa Wilson, a parasitic copepod, has been obtained fromthe sail fish, htiophorus platypterus, collected along the south-east and southwest
coasts of India. This collection extends the range of distribution of P. instructa
to the above areas. A description of the female is given.
