Abstract

A growth trial was conducted on fingerlings of common carp fed with four levels ofLivol (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5%) incorporated pelleted feeds (30% protein). Fingerlingsprovided with dietary Livol at 1% level recorded the highest weight gain, foodconversion efficiency, protein efficiency ratio, nutrient digestibility and muscleprotein content. Organoleptic quality of raw and cooked flesh was not affected byfeeding Livol.
