Parapenaeopsis stylifera, infected with microsporidians showed a distinct whitishdiscolouration in their abdominal musculature. Histopathological and histochemical
studies of the infected tissues revealed the presence of microsporidian spores
in different stages of development and accumulation of iron respectively
