Abstract

Parapenaeopsis stylifera, infected with microsporidians showed a distinct whitish
discolouration in their abdominal musculature. Histopathological and histochemical
studies of the infected tissues revealed the presence of microsporidian spores
in different stages of development and accumulation of iron respectively
