Abstract
Clinical signs in epizootic ulcerative syndrome (EUS) affected fish includes sluggish movement and surfacing. Ulcerative lesions of varying shapes and sizes are seen scattered all over the body. Histopathology of different organ tissues e.g., skin, gill, kidney, liver, spleen and brain were studied in spontaneous cases of EUS of rohu fingerlings. The changes were characterized by cellular infiltration in the hypodermis and epidermis, oedema, dilatation and necrosis of primary and secondary lamellae of the gill tubular epithelial cells, degeneration of kidney tubules, depletion of lymphoid cells of spleen, mild to moderate degeneration of hepatocytes and congestion of cerebral tissueDownloads
