Abstract
Two species of marine diatoms, Skeletonema sp. and Chaetoceros sp. (Bacillariophyceae) were commercially cultured in hatchery conditions to feed the larvae of Penaeus monodon and harvested at exponential phase of growth for nutritional analysis of protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash and residual moisture. The percentage composition of protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash and residual moisture recorded in Skeletonema sp. were 51.77, 20.02, 16.58, 5.20 and 6.43 and in Chaetoceros sp. 58.34, 12.29,17.39, 4.64 and 7.34 respectively.Downloads
