Author Guidelines

• It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that papers are submitted strictly as per the style and format of IJPS. The articles not conforming fully to the style and format of IJPS will be returned to author(s) by the editorial office for amendment, prior to a review for its scientific merit.
• Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and has not been published previously, is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or any other language. The submission of the article has the approval of the all co-authors and the authorities of the host institute where work has been carried out.
• The editorial board of IJPS discourages the submission of more than one article dealing with related aspects from the same study; this includes different aspects of data derived from one particular experiment, or cases in which the analytical techniques, animals or experimental procedures are common to all papers. If author(s) have valid reasons for separation of reports of one particular experiment into more than one paper, these must be submitted simultaneously.
• The Author(s) may suggest the names of at least three experts/reviewers, not form the host organization/institute where the work had been carried out (along with their complete mailing address, contact nos. and e-mail id) whom they judge qualified to evaluate their research article. These suggestions will only be considered if e-mail id’s are also provided. Submission of such names does not imply that they will definitely be used for scrutiny.
• The “Article submission certificate” duly signed by all the authors/head of host department/institute (optional) on a prescribed format must be furnished along with article at the time of submission. If the article is sent through e-mail, the scanned copy of certificate (signed/stamped) may be attached.
• For publication of article in IJPS, the first and the corresponding author must be a life member of Indian Poultry Science Association. Besides, Rs 1000 will be charged as processing fee for publication of each article in the Journal.
• The submitted manuscripts will be assessed by editorial board first, and if found suitable for publication, it will be sent for peer-review. The review process will be a double-blind process where author(s) and referees are unaware of each other’s' names. The author(s) must abide by the suggestions of referee and the editorial board of IJPS. The final decision to publish an article will lie with the chief editor of IJPS.
• The corresponding author will be informed about the acknowledgement of the article (with manuscript identification number), reviewer decisions and final acceptance of the article. He will also receive the PDF file of his/her published article free of cost via e-mail. No hard copies of the reprints will be provided.
• The “Instructions for authors (Revised: September, 2023)” will take effect from April 2024 issue of IJPS onwards.
• To increase the citation of articles published in IJPS, it is now mandatory to cite two to three articles related to the submitted manuscript published in the IJPS.

The review process will be a double-blind process where author(s) and referees are unaware of each other’s' names. The author(s) must abide by the suggestions of referee and the editorial board of IJPS. The final decision to publish an article will lie with the chief editor of IJPS.
