Five fungicides, three neem based formulations and three biocontrol agents were first evaluated in vitro atdifferent concentrations and then on pot grown plants for their integrations against post flowering stalk rot (PFSR) of maizecaused by Fusarium moniliforme. Systemic fungicides, bavistin and tebuconazole were found most effective in inhibiting100% mycelial growth of F. moniliforme at 250 ppm. Maximum inhibition of 50.4% and 77.6% of mycelium growth of F.moniliforme was recorded with Trichoderma viride and neem seed extract @ 0.2% respectively. Maximum germination (90%)with minimum mortality (0.0 and 2.5%) at 35 and 70 DAS and least percent disease index (PDI) 23.2% was recorded byintegration of T. viride drenching, with bavistin seed treatment followed by tebuconazole (ST) + T. viride (drenching). Amongthe individual treatments, seed treatment with bavistin and T. viride drenching showed good effects and resulted in 75%germination with 3.3% and 7.1% mortality after 35 and 70 DAS followed by 72.5% in tebuconazole seed treatment. Integrationof plant resistance with these components will be useful for reducing the losses caused by PFSR pathogen.Downloads
