Abstract

The herbicides pendimethalin, isoproturon, 2,4-D sodium salt and butachlor were tested against cultures of Fusarium nivale [Monographella nivalis], F. moniliforme [Gibberella fujikuroi], Helminthosporium sativum [Cochliobolus sativus] and Alternariasp. growing on potato dextrose agar. None of the herbicides stimulated fungal growth and the fungi showed similar responses to individual herbicides. Overall, the results showed that isoproturon was more inhibitory to fungi than 2,4-D sodium salt and pendimethalin.
