Abstract

Seeds of 50 Luffa acutangula varieties were collected in Maharashtra, India, and screened for their resistance to Pseudoperonospora cubensis. Of 6 fungicide treatments tested, fosetyl (as Aliette) gave the best disease control. Mancozeb, chlorothalonil, copper oxychloride, carbendazim and mancozeb + fosetyl all controlled the disease to different degrees.
