Abstract

The effect of 6 fluorescent pseudomonads (CHRB2, CORB1, GNRB1, GNRB2, GNRB3 and SBRB5) on growth and yield of chilli (Capsicum cv. Jwala 5), cotton (cv. H-4), groundnut and soyabean (cv. Monetta) was tested through seed bacterization. The seed germination of all crops increased by 12 to 20%. Similarly, there were significant increases in shoot height, root length, fresh weight, dry weight and yield. The increase was greatest in groundnut followed by soyabean, cotton and chilli.
