Abstract

Quantitative changes of individual phenolic acids in Peronosclerospora sorghi infected sorghum and maize leaves were studied at various stages of disease development. There was no qualitative change in phenolic compounds. However, their concentration increased due to infection, more particularly of cinnamic, chlorogcrac and ferulic acids in resistant varieties.
