Abstract

The low resistance inducing activity of Clerodendrum aculeatum-Ieaf extract (CA-L) at higher dilutions could be greatly enhanced by priming it with certain proteinaceous additives. The additives ameliorated the activity of diluted CA-L to different levels. The two major differences noticed after adding additives, were higher degree of induced resistance and prolonged duration of antiviral state in susceptible hosts.
