Abstract

Didymella lycopersici and Diaporthe phaseolorum were mild to abundantly present in 24 seed samples of red pepper and bell pepper of Kumaun Himalava. These pathogen s were located on seed coat and inner seed tissues, ie., endosperm and embryo, and commonly isolated from seedlings, leaves and fruits. Disease development and pathogenicity tests showed their pathogenic and seed-plant transmitting behaviour.
