Abstract

Various techniques were compared to quantify the Kamal bunt teliospores in the soils mixed with tre teliospores taken from the seeds. Bubbling floatation method using 25 per cent glycerol and mineral oil gave the highest teliospores recovery. With the increase of inoculum density per 10 g of soil, teliospore recovery also increase. A linear regression analysis was done so as to predict the number of teliospores recovered as an index.
