Identification of Sclerotium rofsii isolates by ITS-PCR indicated that ITS-1 and ITS-4 primers produced amplified product size of 650-700 bp by PCR amplification of ITS region of rDNA clusters. The BLAST data results revealed that the Sclerotium rolfsii sequences of eighteen isolates obtained from groundnut and they were deposited in NCBI Gene Bank, USA. Field trials on integrated disease management (IDM) of the disease were carried out to manage stem and pod rot of groundnut. Based on two years (Kharif, 2013 and 2014) data, three effective treatments were identifie for the effective management of stem and pod rot of groundnut. Among them, the treatment combination of Deep ploughing + Seed treatment with Trichoderma harzianum @ 4 g/kg of seed + Furrow application of Trichoderma harzianum @ 4 kg enriched with 250 kg FYM/ha + Neem cake @ 250 kg/ha was highly effective for the management of disease with least disease incidence, higher pod and fodder yield as well as yield parameters apart from highest benefit cost ratio.Downloads
