Max. inhibition of onion seedling roots was obtained using filtrate from a 16 d old A. porri culture grown on pectin substrate at pH 8.0. Max. chlorotic spots were induced by filtrate taken from a 16 d old culture grown on sucrose substrate at pH 8.0.
