Abstract

The best chemical control methods of Ascochyta blight (caused by A. rabiei) of chickpea varieties L550 (susceptible) and C235 (resistant) was investigated in field trials in India. The best control of C235 sown in late Dec. was achieved by seed treatment with carbendazim + thiram followed by 2 sprays of zineb and 1 spray of carbendazim + thiram. Date of sowing and seed treatment had no effect on variety L550.
