Antagonistic activity of four isolates of Gliocladium virens and single isolate of Streptoverticillium was demonstrated towards 4 phytopathogenic fungi, viz., Aspergillus flavus, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium solani and Rhizoctonia solani. Spore germination and radial growth of test fungi were inhibited by the cell-free culture filtrates of all the bio-agents. Moreover, the disease symptoms were restricted on pretreated plants which were artificially parasitized by test fungi.
