One of the most infectious and contagious viral disease that affects the poultry industry both in broiler chicken fields and layers is the infectious bronchitis disease (IB). This study aims to investigate the cases of IB infection of broiler chicken fields at eight region in and around the Mosul city in Nineveh governorate which includes (Bartalla, Wanna, Almasayed, Alshalalat, Basheeka, Badoosh, Alqayara and Hamdanya ) during the period from August 2022- January 2023 by using the IBV Rapid Test and Polymerase chainreaction. The results indicated the presence of the IB infection in these regions and its occurrence is related to climatic condition as the cases were more common in October. The study indicates the sensitivity of the Antigen Rapid Tests for diagnosis of IB infection by matching with results of the PCR.
