Abstract

A field study was conducted in 653 buffaloes to  establish  the normal levels of serum calcium and serum phosphorus of buffaloes of Guntur District and to elucidate the variations in these macro elements profile in the blood of buffaloes in different physiological conditions like pregnancy condition (from 7 -10 months), post calving period (with in 1 month after calving), and  pathological conditions like reduced milk yield, anorexia, pyrexia (non specific for more than 1 week), anestrus, repeat breeding, locomotor disturbances (Stiffness / weakness / unable to walk / recumbancy) .
