Present investigation was conducted in soils at Hisar, Haryana with the objective to examine the impact of organic manures and fertilizers on periodic changes in soil phosphorus fractions during the wheat growing period in pearl millet-wheat cropping sequence. The results indicated that the inorganic P fractions showed higher increase under the treatments where fertilizers were applied in combination with organic manures. The trend for inorganic P fractions with respect to increase or decrease and with respect to release from particular organic manures applied was not found similar. Amongst the different P fractions, Ca-P was found to be the dominant fraction in the soil.Downloads
