Abstract

l. Lillian, H. Wieland, Soil Erosion Bibliography, published in 1935 by the Soil Erosion Service of the U.S. Department of the Interior. It was compiled, as mentioned by H.H. Bennett in the introduction to this publication, in response to numerous requests for lists of erosion publications. It consists of 124 pages and lists the material alphabetically according to authors. It does not give any abstracts of the publications included in it.

2. Lillian, H. Wieland and June Henderson, Bibliography on Soil Conservation, published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service in 1936. This was compiled by Lillian H. Wieland in 1935 and was later revised by June Henderson in 1936. It consists of 179 pages and is divided into two sections. Pages from I to 134 form the first section and contain the list of publications alphabetically listed authorwise. Pages from 135 to 179 form the second section and contain the subject matter index.

3. Stanley N. Gaines, Bibliography on Soil Erosion and Soil and Waler Conservation. published in 1938 as Miscellaneous Publication No. 312 of the United States Department of Agriculture. This publication consists of 651 pages and contains a 4,388 publications list of all arranged alphabetically authorwise. It is divided into 30 sections and subsections. Abstracts are also given for each of the publications included in it. An index to authors is added at the end. 4. United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service It consists of 13 pages and was published in June 1939. Pages from I to II contain the publications listed alphabetically according to subiects.
