Abstract

Soil Conservation is a complex task deeply affecting the economic aspect of the individual and the Society. It is not only a physical change in the pattern of land use, but also has deep relations with the changes in the acro-economic and social conditions of the p:ople. Thus, it is necessary for us to have a proper understanding of the agro-economic and Social conditions of the people, before planning of soil conservation programme for the same. Similar ideas have been expressed by Garg(l), Narain (2) and Naidu (3).
