Abstract

In this paper are presented the results of analytical investigations on nine samples of soil from four different locations near Gwalior (M.P.), for the extent of salinity or alkalinity developed in these soils. This is an area to be brought under canal irrigation when the Chambal Hydel and Irrigation Project is completed. Based on the results of chemical and physical analyses, some recommendations for the improvement of these soils have also been made.
