Protein Content of Bajra as influenced by Plant population and application of Nitrogen and Phosphorous

Keywords:
Protein content, nitrogen, phosphorusAbstract
Vishwanathan (1931), while summarising the the manurial work in India reported no difference in nitrogen content of the sorghum grain under different manurial treatments. However, there was an indication of reduced nitrogen content up to a certain limit. Russel and Watson (1940) observed that application of increasing levels of nitrogen does not seem to bear any relationship with the nitrogen content of wheat grain and straw. Observations of Sen and Pal (1953) also suggest the same.
