Abstract

Steep hill slopes when put under cultivation are subject to severe soil erosion. With every rain the top soil is washed away at an acceler rate, ated depleting the soil fertility. In such areas if stones are available in plenty, construction of stone walls across the slope will help in conserving the soil.
