Abstract

Now-a-days aerial photographs are being used by many scientists as a very efficient tool for assessing various natural resources like soil, geology and forest in different developed countries. Consequently, India is also using the same for those purposes and here an attempt has been made to determine the validity of aerial photo-interpretation for detailed soil survey in type phase level by sample strip method in Kangsabati catchment, (Dist Purulia, West Bengal).
