Philips Solutions for Rate of Water Advance in Border
21
Abstract
The rate of advance of water in a border strip has been a subject of wide interest in the study of hydraulics of surface irrigation. A number of widely varying approaches have been used for this study which are too numerous to mention. The earliest solution based on continuity equation was proposed by Parker (1913) and Israelsen (1932). The next important continuity equation was proposed by Lewis and Milne (1938) in the form of an integral equation.
